The Best Portable Printers for Laptops

I get asked a lot what the best portable printers for laptops is, and the answer really isn't what you'd expect at all. If I were to ask you what the 'best car' was, then I'm thinking it's likely you'd pick a very fast, comfortable sports car. With portable printers it's quite a different question because whenever you add anything extra to the device you're instantly reducing its level of portability. Alas some mobile printers are so large and heavy they're only really suitable for using from the car.




To find out what the 'best' one really is you need to examine your own printing needs and how portable you really need the device. On the surface having a large tank may immediately seem like a positive - but if you're going to be carrying it around all day and need a smaller compact print then clearly it's going to be more of a detriment. On the other hand if you're a busy professional who needs a printer that seems to be capable of any task you set it and which is only going to be used out of the car then it's a different matter.



You see what's 'best' for one person may not be best for another, if you don't need it to print in color, or to be able to fax or to have a 10 hour battery life then don't buy it - especially if you're a college student who may very possibly be carrying it around all day.
